I belong to the Sutton Coldfield Local History Research Group and I have been researching the short stretch of the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal that runs along the southern boundary of the town.

As part of this, I came across a boatman, William Lowke, who had been born in Minneth (Minworth). In looking into him further I discovered he was related to a young girl, Elizabeth Lowke who was killed by a Frederick Musson near Aldersley Junction in 1874.

As I developed my short article about this tragic child and her family, I looked for illustrations to add to it and came across 2 on the Black Country Muse site - Spring Vale Works, Bilston c. 1903 and A Bit of the Black Country (IV) c. 1910 that would be ideal.

Could you give me permission to use these and credit them to the web site?

The article will be placed on our group's new website and, once it is up and running, I will send you the details.

Many thanks
